Steve's microarray results

When comparing healthy individuals there were 14 probes that were found in all patients, 190 patients that were in at least 4 patients and 197 in at least 3.

When comparing healthy to infected individuals there were NO PROBES that were conserved between individuals ... only 3 were in the 197 genes mentioned above.

So (at least from this data ... GSE18816 and GSE24533) it doesn't seem that there are genes commonly differentially expressed when infected. However, this dataset is SUPER tiny and not big enough to make conclusions from.
